Speech therapy covers every age of life. There is no need to wait for a specific age when a difficulty with communication, language, speech or oro-facial functions is noticed.

Does an assessment always lead to treatment?

No. The assessment is there to understand the difficulties and their impact. Depending on the results, rehabilitation, advice, monitoring or referral to another professional may be proposed.

Assessments and treatment are carried out in French. Other languages the patient is exposed to are taken into account in the history and in interpreting the difficulties, especially in Luxembourg.
